Dear Senators & State Representatives:
On behalf of the National Association of Government Employees Local R1-200, I would like to invite you to participate in a press conference to be held at our Union’s local headquarters located at 3510 Main Street, Bridgeport, CT on Friday, October 1, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. That is the day that Public Act 21-25, “An Act Concerning Access to Certain Public Employees by the Exclusive Bargaining Representative of a Public Employer Bargaining Unit,” goes into effect.
Our National Union President, David J. Holway, will be speaking to express the Union’s support for Public Act 21-25, an important piece of legislation necessary to restore and maintain employers, and their employees’ bargaining representatives.
We are taking this opportunity to applaud the Governor for his leadership, for his recognition of the importance of organized labor to the general welfare of this State, and to make our approximately 500 members and your constituents aware of the existence and impact of this new legislation. We hope that you will be able to join us in celebrating this step forward.
Very truly yours,
James V. Meszoros, Sr.
Local Union President
